We are addressing the aftermath of the June attack, and one of the steps is updating the app. Our technical team has made it more secure; all you need to do is install the latest version in a single click.
Why It Is Important to Update Amnezia VPN to Version 4.8.19.0
New versions improve connection security and speed up the app. Specifically, in this update:
- Made the detection of protected connections more difficult
- Reconfigured traffic routing
Important: soon, we will discontinue support for previous versions — you will not be able to connect to Amnezia VPN servers until you update
Updated on July 28: version 5.0.0.5 is live — update now
How the Update Affects Amnezia Self-Hosted Users
You will still be able to establish a connection using previous versions; however, we strongly advise updating to build 4.8.19.0 to protect your connection and hide it from censors.
